In response to the pandemic, we have developed the COVID Wellness Nurse (CWN) app to conduct personalized interviews with patients regarding their health and wellness and to alert them to whatever actions are needed to address their symptoms.
Requiring only a cellphone, this on-demand healthcare is simple, convenient and easy-to-use.
Dr. Gilmore uses his expertise in wearable technology and biomedical signal processing to lead the physiological monitoring effort for the Wellness Nurse Platform. The physiological monitoring contributes individual, real-time data to Wellness Nurse health assessments, equipping patients and poviders with the information necessary for impactful health management.
Dr. Gilmore earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Clemson University.
Dr. McClendon focuses on the design, implementation and evaluation of the intelligent agents in the Wellness Nurse Platform. These agents assist the healthcare providers in interviewing and assessing the health of their patients, increasing their effectiveness and efficiency .
Dr. McClendon earned his BS and MS in Computer Science from Auburn University and his PhD in Computer Science from Clemson University.
Dr. Meehan applies her Nursing Informatics background to translate the needs of the healthcare provider and patient into the technical features supported by the Wellness Nurse Platform. Her research experiences as an Associate Professor in Nursing as well as in Human-Centered Computing provide the basis for a Platform that is easily accessible by both providers and patients.
Dr. Meehan earned her BSN in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina and her MSN in Medical-Surgical Nursing and PhD in Nursing Research from the University of Texas.
FNP Kickham uses her knowledge as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical expertise for the Wellness Nurse Platform. The result of her guidance, which was instrumental in the design and implementation of the Platform, is an efficient and effective patient engagement application for healthcare providers.
FNP Kickham earned both her BS in Nursing and Spanish and International Health and her MS from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Clemson University.
